Flexitarianism

Yesterday I started thinking and thinking. I was thinking about how all these people I know are becoming vegetarians. My cousin's been a vegan for almost a year now, and then one of my friends, Sydney became a vegan (not yesterday) but last Sunday. I thought "I'd like to do that, but I can't completely give up meat." So, I paid a little visit to Wikipedia to see if there was a way around it, and there was. There were 3 different types of semi-vegetarians. One was called Pescetarianism. It's where the only animals consumed are fish & seafood. My thought was "Eww. No." I don't really like seafood that much, except popcorn shrimp. The second one was Pollotarianism, where you only consume animals of the bird family. I thought it was a good idea, but the only birds I'll eat are chickens and turkeys.

Then, there it was. Flexitarianism. It's where the vegetarian only eats meat occasionally and under exceptions. (i.e. social, pragmatic, cultural, or nutritional reasons OR if you just have a huge craving for meat). I literally became a flexitarian when the clock struck 12. I was talking to my best friend, Dee, about it today, and now she's one, too. She was so interested in it, like I was.

During 3rd period, I was talking to my friend, Ragan, about it. I was getting tired of saying flexitarianism and flexitarian, so I started saying flegan (like vegan if you didn't get it). But yes, this still makes me a vegetarian, but I like the word flexitarian. It's so different.

Forever From Now

Woohoo! I finally put up a new layout that works, yay! This one has took the most coding at of all the layouts I've made for this site. It features Orihime from my all time favorite anime, Bleach. I'm pretty much Bleach obsessed if you didn't know. I love Bleach. Sadly, the next episode doesn't come out until May 7th, which seems like forever from now.

I did write a story. It was inspired by the movie Prom Night. It's not exactly like Prom Night because it has nothing to do with Prom and a few other things. Has anyone seen Prom Night? I thought it was awesome, but I felt sorry for the girl. I'm not going to say anything about it because I don't want to ruin it for the rest of you who haven't seen it, but I still felt sorry for her.

Nothing is really going on in my life at the moment since I'm on Spring Break. Plus, I'm grounded, how much can go on? All I really do is watch anime all day, get on the computer for my now limited amount of time, play Guitar Hero, and sleep. It's quite boring.

Oh, my dad fixed my car window today. It was completely stuck, and he had to replace the window motor. You should have seen me out there watching this. I was completely lost. I was looking at the inside of a car door with all these random wires and crap. I walked away thinking, "Yeah, I'll stick to websites."

Smooth Move

Well, as Coty posted a blog for me, you should know I'm grounded. I got a bad grade in my Biology II class. They aren't really mad about it because we've had a lot of stress here at home, but I don't wanna tell you guys about my problems. You all have your own stuff to worry about.

Let's move on to the happy things. Soooo...PROM WAS YESTERDAY. Wow. It was so much fun. At 3:00pm, Ben (my date), Ragan, Andrew, Kristie, and Coty show up at my house, and we played Guitar Hero for around 45 minutes or more. After that, we left. Ragan, Coty, Ben, and I all rode together, while Andrew and Kristie rode separate from us all. Well, we were going down the highway, and Ragan and I keep hearing this weird noise every few seconds. My phone rings. It's Andrew.

Andrew: Who's sitting behind Coty?
Me: Ragan, why?
Andrew: Tell her to check her dress...
Me: Ragan, Andrew says to check your dress.

Sure enough, one of the strings were hanging out the door. She just yanked it back in the car. We all were laughing though. We showed up to prom. I almost tripped like a thousand times. Jared, Ben's friend told Ben that he might end up having to carry me if I can't stay standing.

We stayed a prom for awhile. Ben and I danced to a slow song close to Andrew and Kristie. In the middle of the song, Andrew busts out laughing. Ben, Kristie, and I have no idea what he is laughing at. That's rare for Ben not to know what Andrew is thinking, too. They played Soulja Boy. I wanted to go dance, but Miss Diasterous wasn't going to break an ankle.

We went and ate at Ruby Tuesdays. No one really ate. Most of our plates were still pretty much full. We went outside, and it was pouring. Andrew and Ben run to get the car and truck. They had umbrellas. It was humorous as they came to get us one by one. Except, Coty ran to Ben's car yelling, "Haha! I refuse to use the umbrella!"

After all that humor, we changed and went bowling. Problem. Kristie and I both forgot to bring different shoes so we were walking around in our prom shoes until we changed into bowling shoes. I'd have to say that is the worst game I've ever bowled, but Ragan and I were doing Comentary over the game....where no one could hear us.

We played 1 game, and then, in the same place, played put put golf. I had everyone laughing because I would hit the ball once and it would end up going right over the hole and end up a foot on the other side of it. Since the course was glow-in-the-dark, Ragan and my streaks were glowing. It was soooooo cool.

On the way up there and the way back, we did get to hear the musical stylings of Ben and Coty singing Foreigner and Queen. It was almost like Ragan and I weren't even there. We got home and played guitar hero...half asleep.

Andrew was very smooth yesterday...psych. He is Student Body President so he had to crown the queen. He was like shaking horribly. I don't know why because he's always been the one up in front of a crowd. Then, when we were leaving prom, he was going to open the door for Kristie, and the door was locked.

Grounded

Envirothon & Frisbees

I keep blogging later and later nowadays. I don't know why. Most of the times I want to blog but then say to myself, "Oh, this is going on tomorrow, just blog afterwards. You'll probably have something good to blog about." I'm glad I said that to myself yesterday because today was awesome.

So, the Environmental Club and FFA (Future Farmers of America) went to Dickson, TN for the 5 Rivers Envirothon. There were 15 teams, of course, there were only 7 counties there. We had like 3 groups from our school. Anyways, there were 5 events we had to go through: Soil, Wildlife, Current Issue, Aquatics, and Forestry.

For Soil, we had to go down in this pit that they dug and answer 20 questions on this piece of paper. For Wildlife, we looked at skins and replicas of droppings and feet while answering questions on paper. Then, we headed over to the Current Issue "station" and answer a bunch of questions on that. Then, we were off to Aquatics. Aquatics was my "speciality". We all had one thing we were supposed to study more than the rest just so it would be easier. After that, we went to the Forestry station. We had to identify 6 trees. We ended up only getting one right. Trees are so hard to identify.

One of our FFA teams one a ribbon for something. I can't remember what it was at the moment. We all got free t-shirts, pizza, and drinks for all our hardwork though. It was so windy all day. Our group nearly fell over just standing in one spot. It was bad.

We came back home after it was all over. Ragan, Dee, and I left school and played frisbee since we could leave. I feel like I'm burnt since I've been outside all day.

Prom is only a week away for my school. Yay! Okay, actually, I just want to hang out with my friends all night and get out of school Friday. I heard that ALL they play at prom is rap music. Hello....we're southern people. We like rock & old country, cause the new country just sucks big time.

I'm going to add a glitters page for song lyrics glitters. I wasn't going to have glitters on the site until I got a domain, but I couldn't wait any longer.
